OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to encourage people to embrace themselves and find the beauty in our differences rather than desperately trying to conform to societies preconceived notions. To share stories and articles to enlighten, motivate and strengthen our readers. To create a space where passions can be explored, ideas are born and knowledge is a catalyst. It is our desire to help people become the healthiest version of themselves - mentally, physically and financially.
ABOUT OUR LOGO
Our Healthy Not Cute Water Duck is a spin on the story of the ugly duckling. In the classic children's story, a swan's egg accidentally rolls into a duck's nest. The young swan grew up unhappy, believing that he was ugly and a misfit because he looked and behaved differently than all the other ducks around him. He was bullied and abused because he was different than the others. When the duckling matured he realized that he was not only a swan, but he was the most beautiful swan of all.
At the core of the story is the fact that the ugly duckling was unhappy, not because there was anything wrong with him, but because he was trying to be something and someone that he wasn't. There was true beauty inside the ugly duckling just waiting to get out. Once he accepted himself for who he was he found a place for himself in a pond full of swans where he was free to be the best version of himself. Our Healthy Not Cute Water Duck is the embodiment of this story. The duck is not the prettiest duck we have overseen and yet he has confidence and self-assurance. He is meant to be a portrait of an individual that may not always fit in, or comes from somewhere different than the majority, but is still able to not only succeed but thrive!

WHAT'S UP WITH THE WORD "WATER" IN YOUR NAME?
The word "Water" in our name is a metaphor for life, strength and resilience. Much like the ugly duckling there is more to water than its appearance. Water is soft and flexible and yet it can be hard and rigid. Water will bend but it will not yield. Water can be still and yet still run deep. We should all endeavor to be like water.
“I am like the water that runs over me, immune to permanence, recycling endlessly. I am water; I am life. The form may change, but the substance stays the same. Strike me down and I will rise again. Vincit qui patitur.
― Rick Yancey
